A Disneyland Resort guest reported an alarming security issue at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa over the weekend. The circumstances surrounding this event raised questions among other guests and Disney cast members present at the time.
u/hollaback_girl shared their experience on Reddit, explaining that security cast members locked down Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa for around 30 minutes on Sunday evening. According to the Disney Resort hotel guest, the lockdown occurred sometime between 10:00 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. They received limited information when they inquired about the situation with a Disney cast member.

Disney cast members only referred to it as a “security issue,” leaving guests in the dark about the specific nature of the incident.
In the aftermath, Disneyland Resort did not immediately acknowledge the incident officially. However, operations at the Disney Resort hotel resumed shortly after that, indicating that any potential threats had been contained and resolved decisively.
Following the incident, Disney Resort hotel guests were allowed to resume their activities, and hotel amenities were reinstated without delay. No other reports emerged on social media.
