Disneyland’s Oogie Boogie Bash is in full swing, delighting fans with its Halloween-themed trick-or-treating and seasonal entertainment. But one question has emerged among some attendees: are adults receiving less candy than kids?

Fans Bring Up Candy Concerns
The main concern comes from one guest who shared their experience on a Disney fan forum. “Multiple times throughout the night our kids would go up and get a handful of candy, we would then immediately follow and some cast members would drop some back in their bin until there were two pieces in their hands and give us that,” they wrote.
The guest recounted a particularly telling moment: “At one point after giving our son a handful the cast member looked at my husband, dropped some candy back in his bin, and said ‘and only two for you!’ which was odd because we would never say anything about it but it definitely made us suspect it more.”
While the post admits that this may seem trivial, the author also highlighted the broader issue for adult guests attending without children. “I actually care more for adults who go without kids, they pay the same insane price as we did and should get the same amount of candy… it costs Disney basically nothing to hand out,” the guest explained.

Should Disney Change Its Ways?
The discussion also raised questions about whether cast members are following specific instructions on candy distribution. “Guess I’m just wondering if anyone else has noticed this or knows of some kind of guidance given to the cast members on how much to hand out to a given person,” the post added.
Disney has not publicly addressed the reported candy differences, and anecdotal accounts suggest experiences may vary depending on the candy location, the discretion of cast members, and the size of the crowds during the event.

For now, visitors can still enjoy plentiful candy and the Halloween festivities, though some adults may leave wondering if their haul was smaller than it should have been.
