Hidden Hauntings – 10 Things You Might Have Missed on the Haunted Mansion

6. In Plain Sight

The Haunted Mansion ballroom is the favorite scene of many a fan. Second only to the graveyard, it has perhaps the highest amount of ghostly activity. It is also the perfect place to hide a Hidden Mickey. I use the word hide very loosely here, as the Hidden Mickey is not concealed at all, rather hidden through the use of misdirection. For those who have not seen it, this Hidden Mickey is simply an arrangement of plates on the dining table. The reason people may frequently overlook it is due to the massive collection of ghosts inhabiting the ballroom. Viewers are so focused on the dead duelist, the ghoulish grandmother, the spirits swinging from the chandelier, and the ballroom dancers that they completely miss it. With all there is to see in this scene, it’s no wonder people miss the mouse.
