Hidden Hauntings – 10 Things You Might Have Missed on the Haunted Mansion

“Welcome, foolish mortals, to the Haunted Mansion.” How many times have we heard those words? The Haunted Mansion is one of the most recognizable Disney park icons, the main attraction for Liberty Square, and is certainly this writer’s favorite ride. On my last visit to The Magic Kingdom, I rode through the Mansion a grand total of six times (I regret nothing). The reason for the frequent visitation is not only for my fondness for the ride itself, but simply to see what else there was to see. The Haunted Mansion is a very large attraction and is full to the gills with its 999 Happy Haunts. So full in fact it is almost impossible to see every trick and treat store within the walls of Gracey Manor, some things I did not pick up upon till my 5th or 6th ride through. Here are ten of the hidden haunts you might have missed on your last tour through the mansion. Keep them in mind the next time you plan to dive into the realm of the supernatural.

Zach Gass

Zach Gass is a writer from East Tennessee with a passion for all things under the Disney name. From Disney history to the careers of Mickey, Donald, and Goofy, Zach tries to keep his finger on the pulse of the mouse. While he would certainly love to see the parks around the globe, his home park will always be the Magic Kingdom of Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. When he's not rubbing elbows with Mickey, Zach enjoys reading fantasy novels, retro video games, theatre, puppetry, and the films of Tim Burton.
