‘Hippity Hoppity’ Disney World – 5 Sensational Ways Disney Celebrates Easter

For those of us who don’t get to indulge in the festivities at Disney during spring break and Easter, take heart… statistically, spring break is one of the heaviest crowd times at WDW all year long. So you can take comfort in the knowledge that you’re escaping the press of crowds and long lines in the parks. That being said, there are ample opportunities to relish this special holiday in several of the parks and resorts. Here are a few of the delightful ways Disney celebrates Easter:

5. Easter Bunny Meet and Greet – Magic Kingdom – What’s Easter without a visit with the Easter Bunny? Guests queue up for a little face-time with the fluffy celebrity in the Town Square area of Magic Kingdom. Apparently, it’s so wonderful that Mrs. Bunny also attends! Appearances are from 9:00am – 5:00pm, March 22 – April 5.

4. Egg-Stravaganza – Epcot – Certainly one of the kid-favorite Easter activities in WDW is a search for special Disney character eggs at Epcot. For $4.95, guests purchase a map and stickers at the Heritage Manor in the American Adventure Pavilion, Pin Central, World Traveler (International Gateway) or Plaza Towers (Port of Entry). This enchanting experience is available from March 27th – April 5th.

3. Easter Brunch – Grand Floridian Resort – Easter salad, chilled strawberry soup shooters, roasted bacon with blueberry chicken sausage, Mickey-shaped chocolate tarts… these are a few of the springtime delicacies awaiting ‘brunchers’ (this isn’t a real word but we’re going to use it anyway) at the posh Grand Floridian Resort. Vacationers enjoy a sumptuous brunch while Mr. and Mrs. Bunny greet guests in the Floridian ballroom. And as if that weren’t enough, face painters and balloon artists delight children with their crafts. Brunch is served at various times throughout the day from 10:30am – 4:00pm. The Contemporary also hosts a similar activity – brunch and visits with Mr. and Mrs. Bunny but features an alternative menu.

2. Other Easter activities – Bunny hop races, arts and crafts, poolside showing of the movie HOP, Easter character brunch at Garden Grove from April 1-8. All WDW turns out to enjoy the wonders of this springtime holiday.
