It’s been about five years since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. Although much of the world has returned to a new normal, there are still remnants of the disease that changed everything.
Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort have rolled back most COVID-19 policies, but some pre-COVID practices never returned. But that just changed at one of Disneyland Park’s most beloved attractions: Indiana Jones Adventure.
Many Indiana Jones Adventure special effects have long been broken, but one seemingly purposeful change frustrated Disney Parks fans. What was once a rotating cycle of made-for-the-ride skits in the attraction’s queue was cut down to just one safety spiel. Guests who spent more than a few minutes in the room were forced to listen to the same bits over and over…and over.
According to recent Disneyland Resort guest reports, things have finally changed. Redditor u/nevec_45 shared this photo, informing fans that “the Indy pre show video isn’t just repeating the Safety Spiel anymore with Sallah anymore and [is] back to showing the other pre show segments.”
“Haven’t seen them do this since pre-covid!” the Disney Park guest added.

Thousands of Disney Parks fans upvoted the post and commented on their delight with the change.
“SUDDENLY we don’t have to hear Sallah saying SUDDENLY too many times,” u/20ozMonkey wrote.
“I’m sure the cast members stuck working this room appreciate the change,” said u/millennial_man.
One regular Disneyland Resort visitor took partial credit for the Indiana Jones Adventure update.
“You’re welcome fam,” u/MainStreetTravel commented. “I legit dropped off a comment card about this at city hall every visit for the past 2 years. I’m not kidding. It’s such an easy fix and post Covid there was no reason. Finally. I feel like Andy Dufresne.”
