Disney Executives Unlock the Future of the Theme Parks

The Walt Disney Company is gearing up to reveal its vision for the future of its theme parks and entertainment divisions. Disney Experiences Chairman Josh D’Amaro and Disney Entertainment Co-Chairman Alan Bergman are set to take the stage at South by Southwest (SXSW) 2025 to outline what’s next for the parks and beyond.

The Future of World-Building

D’Amaro and Bergman will present “The Future of World-Building at Disney,” a session promising to explore “the convergence of imagination, innovation, and the future of experiential storytelling.” According to details shared by theme park journalist Scott Gustin (@ScottGustin), the session is expected to give fans and industry insiders a glimpse into how Disney plans to reimagine its offerings for a new era.

“NEW: Josh D’Amaro and Alan Bergman will speak at SXSW 2025 in March,” Gustin posted on X (formerly Twitter). “D’Amaro and Bergman will speak during a session titled ‘The Future of World-Building at Disney’ that highlights ‘the convergence of imagination, innovation, and the future of experiential storytelling.'”

SXSW 2025 will take place in Austin, Texas, from March 7 to 15. Disney has yet to confirm the exact date and time for its presentation.

Disney’s Legacy of Innovation

The Walt Disney Company is no stranger to SXSW. The company made a splash in 2023 when it debuted an advanced Judy Hopps animatronic, showcasing its cutting-edge robotics and storytelling capabilities.

This year’s presentation is expected to continue that tradition, providing a closer look at how the Disney parks are pushing the boundaries of immersive experiences.

Rumors are swirling about potential changes to the Hall of Presidents attraction at Walt Disney World Resort, with debates over whether the attraction will feature an updated Audio-Animatronic of Trump or close altogether.
