Holiday Crowds Prompt Longer Hours

Walt Disney World has officially extended park hours across three of its most popular parks during Thanksgiving week to meet the growing demand. Magic Kingdom, traditionally the centerpiece of Disney’s holiday festivities, will open at 8:00 AM every day during the week of Thanksgiving, an hour earlier than usual. Resort guests can also take advantage of Early Entry starting at 7:30 AM, giving them an even greater jump on the day. On November 25th and Thanksgiving Day (November 28th), the park will stay open until 11:00 PM, offering extended evening magic. However, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party will close the park to regular guests at 6:00 PM on November 26th, 27th, and 29th.

Animal Kingdom, known for its stunning evening attractions like Pandora – The World of Avatar, will also extend its hours, remaining open until 7:00 PM from November 24th through 26th. Meanwhile, Hollywood Studios will open earlier than usual on November 25th, with gates opening at 8:30 AM and Early Entry beginning at 8:00 AM. The park will close at 7:30 PM for its new and highly sought-after Jollywood Nights event.

Lightning Lane Premier Pass Sells Out

The service is priced at $379 per person for Magic Kingdom and $309 for Hollywood Studios.

Unlike standard Lightning Lane services, the Premier Pass does not require guests to make individual ride reservations. Instead, passholders can simply scan into Lightning Lane queues at their convenience, offering unparalleled flexibility during busy park days.

For the first time, the Premier Pass sold out for both Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios on November 25th, highlighting its immense popularity among guests looking to maximize their time. Currently, the pass is available only to Deluxe Resort guests during its pilot phase, adding an extra layer of exclusivity.
