TRON Lightcycle / Run is the kind of attraction that draws crowds from the moment the park gates open. On any given evening, Tomorrowland glows under the ride's massive canopy structure, and the queue winds with guests of all ages waiting for their turn on one of Walt Disney World's fastest and most celebrated coasters. But on Tuesday night, something happened in that line that serves as an important reminder for every guest visiting the resort.
A 21-year-old Orlando man named Ryan Boufakeer was arrested and charged with felony video voyeurism after allegedly recording underneath a woman's skirt while the two were waiting in the TRON Lightcycle / Run queue. According to an arrest affidavit obtained by ClickOrlando, the incident unfolded between 7:05 p.m. and 7:15 p.m. inside Tomorrowland.

The victim noticed something was wrong when she felt unusual movement behind her in the queue. When she turned around, the affidavit states, she saw Boufakeer “on his hands and knees” with “a black iPhone angled upward” positioned beneath her skirt. She did not stay silent. She confronted him on the spot and demanded he erase whatever he had recorded. Boufakeer reportedly showed her what appeared to be a deleted video, though she later told deputies she could not verify whether it was actually the recording taken moments before.
Disney security personnel tracked down a man fitting the description she provided elsewhere in the park and brought him to a security office. When Orange County Sheriff's deputies arrived and read Boufakeer his Miranda rights, he reportedly admitted to crouching in the queue area with his phone. He told investigators he had been positioned near an outlet to charge his device, and that he was at the park as a chaperone accompanying students from South Creek Chorus on a school trip.
The affidavit states that Boufakeer admitted the recording lasted “approximately 15 seconds” and that he intended to keep it “for sexual gratification.” When deputies asked whether there were any other inappropriate videos or images on his phone, he declined to answer and asked for an attorney. He was subsequently booked into the Orange County Jail.

TRON Lightcycle / Run has been one of Magic Kingdom's most talked-about experiences since it opened in 2023. The coaster reaches speeds approaching 60 mph, uses motorcycle-style ride vehicles inspired by the digital world of Disney's TRON franchise, and sits in Tomorrowland adjacent to Space Mountain. Its massive overhead canopy transforms the entire surrounding area at night, making it one of the most visually distinctive corners of the park.
Walt Disney World maintains a substantial security presence throughout its property, including both uniformed officers and plainclothes personnel, as well as extensive camera coverage. In this case, the system worked in concert with a guest who spoke up immediately.

Disney had not publicly commented on the arrest at the time of publication. This story continues to develop, and we will update as additional information becomes available.
