If you’ve been to Magic Kingdom Park recently, you might have noticed a small change in Fantasyland. After months of guest complaints about the condition of a popular attraction, Walt Disney World Resort has taken action.
Magic Kingdom Park’s Fantasyland has always been home to some of the most iconic attractions at Walt Disney World Resort. Since 2012, guests have been able to experience New Fantasyland, which transformed a classic park area into two primary zones: the Enchanted Forest and Storybook Circus. The former features attractions like Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Enchanted Tales with Belle, and Under the Sea – Journey of the Little Mermaid, among others. There are also plenty of dining experiences, including Be Our Guest and Gaston’s Tavern.

Storybook Circus includes family-friendly favorites like Dumbo the Flying Elephant and The Barnstormer, not to mention the popular Pete’s Silly Sideshow, where guests can meet Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, and Goofy in their circus-themed outfits. These character interactions are among the most popular at Magic Kingdom Park. Yet, for a while, guests have noticed something troubling: the character banners outside Pete’s Silly Sideshow had become severely sun-faded, making it difficult to identify the Disney characters.
WDWNT reported the issue in April, and it took several months for any action to be taken. However, this week, Disney finally made a move to address the concerns. On Monday, the outlet confirmed that Walt Disney World Resort had replaced the worn-out banners in Storybook Circus with new, more vibrant ones.

The updated banners feature the same design as their predecessors, showcasing the four Disney characters in their Storybook Circus personas: the Astounding Donaldo, the Great Goofini, Madame Daisy Fortuna, and Minnie Magnifique. Unlike the old banners, which were faded and barely visible, the updated ones are much brighter and more colorful.
Pete’s Silly Sideshow character meet-and-greets take place daily from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Guests are encouraged to check the Walt Disney World Resort website or the My Disney Experience app for the most up-to-date entertainment schedules.
