New Book ‘Disney Princess: Beyond the Tiara’ Now Available to Preorder

Attention, Disney Princess fans- A new book all about the history and impact of the Disney Princess is coming out later this year, with preorders now available! Disney Princess: Beyond the Tiara will explore the legacy of each Disney princess and share insight into their creation, history, and impact on fans everywhere.

The book is authored by Emily Zemler, a freelance writer and journalist known for her work in The Hollywood Reporter, Los Angeles Times, Billboard, and more. It will feature a detailed look at concept art from the creation of each princess, as well as memorabilia and collectibles and original interviews with those involved in the legacy of the Disney Princess.

Princesses featured in the book include: Snow White, Cinderella, Aurora, Ariel, Belle, Jasmine, Pocahontas, Mulan, Tiana, Rapunzel, Merida, and Moana to cover the full span and evolution of the Disney Princess from 1937 with the introduction of Snow White through recent additions to the Disney Princess story with Merida and Moana.

The book will take a look at each princess individually and consider how their impact has moved beyond the storylines of their original films, inspiring Disney fans of all ages and backgrounds, and becoming a noted part of pop culture today. Each section of the book will be organized by themes, with focus on origins and inspirations, reimaginings, toys and collectibles, fashion, music, parks, fandom, and more.

Fans can expect to find interviews and stories from a number of Disney Legends who have a connection with the Disney Princess brand, with works by Jodi Benson, the voice of Ariel in The Little Mermaid (1989), and renowned composer Alan Menken. Benson is also working on the project as the author of the book’s foreword.

Disney Princess: Beyond the Tiara is currently available for preorder, and will be released on September 13, 2022, wherever books are sold including Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Indiebound, Books-A-Million, and Bookshop.org, which allows you to support local, independent bookshops while buying new titles like this one.
