Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa has two dining options that most guests actually talk about. The Turf Club Bar and Grill, the table-service restaurant with elevated American fare overlooking the golf course and waterways, and the proximity to Disney Springs, which puts dozens of dining options within walking or boat distance of the resort. Everything else at Saratoga Springs tends to exist in the background of those two facts.
The Artist's Palette, the resort's quick-service dining location, is exactly the kind of place that falls into that background. It is useful when guests need something fast and on the property. It is not typically the place guests plan their meals around or seek out specifically when other options are available.
This week that changed. And the timing could not be better.
Why This Matters Right Now for Disney
The Turf Club Bar and Grill is closed. Not permanently, but meaningfully. The restaurant entered a phased closure and refurbishment process in early April that is not expected to be fully resolved until mid-September 2026. The closure is staggered, with the lounge and bar components shutting at different points across the summer, but the bottom line for guests staying at Saratoga Springs between now and September is that the resort's primary table-service dining option is unavailable in some form for most of the summer.
That puts The Artist's Palette in a position it has not been in before. It is the on-property dining option for a large resort full of guests who do not all want to make the walk or take the boat to Disney Springs for every meal. The menu overhaul that just dropped is Disney acknowledging that reality and responding to it with something substantially better than what was there before.
What Changed at Breakfast
Several items were removed from the breakfast menu, including the Hole in One, Bears in Dirt, Lemon-Blueberry Cheesecake, and Milk and Cookies Cupcake. The additions are more interesting than what they replaced. An Everything Bagel with Smoked Salmon at $10.29 offers a legitimately savory breakfast option that was previously absent. New pastry additions include a Cannoli Cupcake at $6.99, Pistachio-Chocolate Cream Puff at $6.49, Cookies and Cream Cheesecake at $6.29, Pineapple-Coconut Cheesecake at $6.29, Toasted Marshmallow Brownie at $5.99, and Lemon-Poppy Seed Breakfast Bread at $5.99. A Protein Pack at $7.49, a Chocolate-Hazelnut Latte at $5.79, and a Surfside Iced Tea and Lemonade plus Vodka Hard Tea at $11.75 round out the morning additions.
What Changed at Lunch and Dinner
The Plant-based Gyro was removed and replaced with a Plant-based Barbecue Jackfruit Sandwich at $11.99. The more significant additions are on the savory side. A Brisket Sandwich at $11.99. Chicken-Bacon Alfredo Pasta at $11.99. BBQ Pork Macaroni and Cheese at $13.99. And at dinner specifically, Herb-roasted Salmon with Garlic Gremolata at $17.99, which is the kind of addition that signals Disney is trying to give the quick service location something that functions as a genuine dinner option rather than just a convenient one.
New sides and soups include Roasted Zucchini Squash and Tomato at $4.99, Marinated Cucumber, Tomato, and Red Onion Salad at $4.59, and Potato, Bacon, and Leek Soup at $4.49. The Mojo Pork and Baked Ziti were removed from the dinner menu.
The Allergy Friendly Detail From Disney
Multiple new items across lunch and dinner are offered with comprehensive allergy-friendly preparations covering egg, fish and shellfish, milk, peanut and tree nut, sesame, and soy allergies. The Brisket Sandwich, Chicken-Bacon Alfredo Pasta, and Plant-based Barbecue Jackfruit Sandwich are each available in multiple allergy-accommodating versions. For guests with dietary restrictions who have historically found quick service options at Disney resorts limiting, the breadth of labeling across these new additions is a meaningful improvement.
The Short Version
The Artist's Palette at Saratoga Springs just got significantly more interesting at every meal period. The Turf Club is closed through mid-September. The quick service that was easy to overlook is now carrying more weight, and the menu update means it is equipped to carry it.
For guests staying at Saratoga Springs this summer, the update is worth knowing about before arrival. For guests who have never considered The Artist's Palette as a dining destination worth planning around, the salmon at dinner and the smoked salmon bagel at breakfast are two items that might change that calculation.
