A late-night battery call brought law enforcement to one of Walt Disney World Resort‘s most popular Value Resort hotels in the early hours of Monday morning. The incident occurred while most guests at Disney's Pop Century Resort were fast asleep.
The Call Logged at 1:21 a.m.

At 1:21 a.m. on August 3, the Orange County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call reporting a battery incident at Disney's Pop Century Resort. Scanner monitoring account @WDWActiveCrime shared the dispatch on X (formerly known as Twitter):

The Google Maps pin attached to the alert places the response along a roadway at the edge of Disney's Pop Century Resort — the generalized address law enforcement uses to log calls at the property rather than a precise location. Where exactly within the Value Resort hotel the altercation took place hasn't been confirmed.

Neither the Orange County Sheriff's Office nor Walt Disney World Resort has issued any statement about the incident. Whether anyone was seriously injured, arrested, or subsequently banned from Walt Disney World Resort property remains unknown. Additional details may emerge if a police report is filed or criminal charges follow, though a public statement from Disney is unlikely regardless.
No Disruption to Resort Operations
Disney's Pop Century Resort is operating normally following the overnight incident. All guest amenities are available, and bus and Disney Skyliner transportation to Magic Kingdom Park, EPCOT, Disney's Hollywood Studios, Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, and Disney Springs continues to run on its normal schedule.

Guests at Disney's Pop Century Resort or any other Walt Disney World Resort property who encounter a law enforcement or security response should follow all instructions from cast members and officers on the scene and give the affected area appropriate space.
