Dopey Will Narrate Live-Action ‘Snow White’ as Full Cast Confirmed

Disney's upcoming live-action remake of Snow White is set to debut in theaters on March 21, 2025. The project has drawn considerable attention since its announcement, with Rachel Zegler's casting as the titular princess sparking heated discussion.

Controversy escalated in 2023 after remarks Zegler made in 2022 resurfaced online, reigniting debate surrounding the film. Criticism has extended to various aspects of the production, including the use of CGI for the dwarfs, Gal Gadot's portrayal of the Evil Queen, and Disney's low-profile promotional approach. The film's first major event, originally planned for London, was instead held in Segovia, Spain.

This expanded cast suggests the film will delve deeper into Snow White's story, incorporating new characters and showing more of her early life with multiple actresses portraying her at different stages.

Marc Webb directs the film with a screenplay by Erin Cressida Wilson. While early rumors suggested *Barbie*'s Greta Gerwig co-wrote the script, the Writers Guild of America directory confirms Wilson will receive sole credit. Gerwig, along with Jez Butterworth, Steven Levenson, Jeffrey Nathanson, Victoria Strouse, and Chris Weitz, is credited with “Additional Literary Material” for their contributions.

Thomas Hitchen

When he’s not thinking about the Magic Kingdom, Thomas is usually reading a book, becoming desperately obsessed with fictional characters, or baking something delicious (his favorite is chocolate cake -- to bake and to eat). He's a dreamer and grew up on Mulan saving the world, Jim Hawkins soaring through the stars, and Padmé Amidala fighting a Nexu. At the Parks, he loves to ride Everest, stroll down Main Street with an overstuffed pin lanyard around his neck, and eat as many Mickey-shaped ice creams as possible. His favorite character is Han Solo (yes, he did shoot first), and his favorite TV show is Buffy the Vampire Slayer except when it's One Tree Hill. He loves sandy beach walks, forest hikes, and foodie days out in the Big City. Thomas lives in England, UK, with his fiancée, baby, and their dog, a Border Collie called Luna.
