Rock ‘n' Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets merchandise arrived at Disney's Hollywood Studios within hours of the Aerosmith version's March 1 closure, marking the characters' physical return to the park months before the rethemed attraction opens.
Two pressed-penny machines dispensing eight Muppets designs appeared in the courtyard near the closed roller coaster, giving Walt Disney World Resort guests their first tangible connection to the upcoming transformation.

The courtyard surrounding the shuttered roller coaster stays accessible for guests attending Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After at Sunset Showcase, which performs throughout the day.

Each pressed-penny machine offers four designs featuring the Rock ‘n' Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets logo with “Under Construction 2026” on caution tape alongside one of eight characters: Fozzie Bear, Bean Bunny, Sweetums, Swedish Chef, Gonzo, Sam Eagle, Beaker, or Dr. Bunsen Honeydew.

The machines appear to be relocated from “Rock This Way,” the gift shop attached to Rock ‘n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith. Pennies cost $1 each (machines provide copper discs). Cash or credit accepted; credit purchases require $4 for all four designs per machine.
Muppets Mayhem Retheme Coming Summer
Walt Disney World Resort announced the Muppets Mayhem-inspired retheme in late 2024, before the permanent closure of Muppet*Vision 3D and Muppets Courtyard last summer. The area is becoming a Monsters, Inc. (2001) land with a “door coaster.”

Disney promised to preserve Muppet*Vision 3D—one of Jim Henson's final projects—and recently revealed that the attraction was filmed for VR headsets.
The My Disney Experience app already shows “Future Home of Rock ‘n' Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets” on the digital Disney's Hollywood Studios map.
Limited-Time Collectibles

Walt Disney World Resort hasn't made an official announcement about the pressed-penny machines. The designs will likely disappear when Rock ‘n' Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets opens in summer 2026, making the “Under Construction” pennies potential collector's items documenting the transition period.
