Guests with upcoming reservations at one of Walt Disney World Resort's most popular budget-friendly hotels will want to know what's coming this spring.
Eight Months of Work at All-Star Movies

Walt Disney World Resort updated its official website on March 9 to confirm that Disney's All-Star Movies Resort will undergo a phased room refurbishment beginning late May 2026 and running through January 2027. The project spans eight months, though Disney is structuring the work in stages so the hotel remains open and bookable throughout.
Guests checking in during that window should expect some daytime construction noise and occasional changes to walkways around the property. Alternate routes and signage will be put in place whenever pathways are closed or rerouted. As is standard practice at Walt Disney World Resort, the noisiest work is typically scheduled during daytime hours when most guests are out at Magic Kingdom Park, EPCOT, Disney's Hollywood Studios, or Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park.

What exactly is being refurbished hasn't been spelled out. In the late 2010s and early 2020s, Walt Disney World Resort overhauled rooms across its Value Resort lineup, introducing wood-style flooring, pull-down Murphy beds, and updated finishes.
Whether this upcoming project is a continuation of that effort or addresses behind-the-scenes infrastructure is unclear.
What Guests Won't Have to Worry About

The refurbishment is confined to the rooms. Walt Disney World Resort does not expect the project to touch bus transportation, dining, shopping, or other resort amenities. The Fantasia Pool, Duck Pond Pool, and kiddie pool are all expected to stay open for the duration.
No comparable refurbishments have been announced for All-Star Movies' sister properties, Disney's All-Star Sports Resort and Disney's All-Star Music Resort.
