McIntire’s son, Shelby Blackstock married his girlfriend of nine years in the Magic Kingdom Park with a gorgeous ceremony complete with Cinderella’s Coach heading down Main Street U.S.A. CMT.com reports that Blackstock’s now-wife, esthetician Marissa Branch is a “self-proclaimed Disney Princess,” so a magical wedding in the heart of Walt Disney World seems like the perfect way for the couple to express their love and commitment to each other.
Walt Disney World is a very special place to the couple for multiple reasons. Branch’s mother worked at the resort when she was younger as an Attractions Cast Member at “it’s a small world” in the Magic Kingdom, and she recalled that it was a favorite destination of her grandmother who had since passed. The couple also got engaged at the Walt Disney World Resort with Branch giving an excited “yes” when Blackstock popped the question in EPCOT just about one year ago.
As for their wedding, the ceremony took place right on Main Street U.S.A. with Branch arriving to meet her new husband via Cinderella’s Coach. Following the ceremony, the couple and their Guests headed toward the hub for a celebration and cake cutting right in front of Cinderella Castle. CMT reports that Branch walked down the aisle to the song, “Tale as Old as Time,” from Beauty and the Beast (1991). Dressed in a gorgeous Galia Lahav dress, and with Cinderella Castle as the backdrop, Branch truly did look like a Disney princess!
Reba McIntire was joined by her boyfriend, actor Rex Linn, at the event along with a number of other country music artists, family, and friends.
With the wedding behind them, the couple is anxiously awaiting their honeymoon however they are holding off until COVID-19 restrictions loosen up a little bit more before confirming their next destination.
