There's a particular feeling at a seasonal park in its last days. The leaves are turning, the nights are cold, and some of the rides you remember from summer are already behind ropes. For visitors planning one last trip, a little homework can mean the difference between a great day and a frustrating one.

Cedar Point is heading into that moment. According to the report, the final days of its 2026 season are approaching, and several popular attractions are unavailable. We've attributed every detail to the report, flagged where its lists overlap, and said what it doesn't tell us. Here's the rundown, plus a late-night police call that made the rounds among fans.
Quick Reference

- Final day of HalloWeekends: November 1, with HalloWeekends running on select days through then
- Closed for the season: Gemini, Magnum XL-200, Planet Snoopy, Ocean Motion, Sky Ride, Space Age, Thunder Canyon, and WindSeeker
- Friday closures: Blue Streak, Cedar Creek Mine Ride, Power Tower, and Rougarou
- Sunday closure: Power Tower
- Noon openings, Friday through Sunday: Camp Snoopy, Cedar Creek Mine Ride, Gemini, Power Tower, Skyhawk, SlingShot, Rougarou, and Wave Swinger
The Calendar Is Winding Down

HalloWeekends continues at Cedar Point on select days through November 1, according to the report, which says Cedar Point has updated its attraction closure schedule for the remaining days.
The Season-Long Closures
The report calls out Gemini and Magnum XL-200 as the most notable absences, both listed as closed for the season. Also closed: Planet Snoopy, Ocean Motion, Sky Ride, Space Age, Thunder Canyon, and WindSeeker.
It says coaster fans hoping for a final ride on Gemini or Magnum XL-200 “will have to wait until 2027.” The schedule itself only lists them as closed for the season, and the information we have doesn't say more about 2027.
What's Dark Through the Weekend

The report says the list shifts as the operating calendar ends. As of its writing, the Cedar Point & Lake Erie Railroad and Power Tower were scheduled to be closed.
Friday adds Blue Streak, Cedar Creek Mine Ride, Power Tower, and Rougarou. Power Tower is also listed as unavailable on Sunday.
Running Late: Noon Openings
Cedar Point's published schedule identifies noon openings Friday through Sunday for Camp Snoopy, Cedar Creek Mine Ride, Gemini, Power Tower, Skyhawk, SlingShot, Rougarou, and Wave Swinger.
A Puzzle in the Schedule
Some attractions appear on more than one list. Cedar Creek Mine Ride, Power Tower, and Rougarou are on both the Friday closure list and the noon-opening list, and Gemini shows up among the noon openings despite being listed as closed for the season.
The report itself says some attractions appear on both the closure and delayed-opening lists, so guests should verify the latest operating information before arriving. We can't say which listing is right.
A Quick Word on “Scheduled” and “Listed”
The report uses careful language, and so do we. “Scheduled” and “listed” mean the park's published schedule shows a closure or a noon opening. They don't mean we've confirmed what will happen on the day.
That's why the report urges guests to verify the latest operating information before they arrive. Schedules at the end of a season can change, and the lists we've seen already disagree in a few places.
The Case For and Against Going
The report says HalloWeekends still offers reasons to visit, especially for guests who enjoy Halloween entertainment and seasonal atmosphere. For visitors focused on roller coasters, it says the experience may be considerably different from summer.
It also raises value. Ticket prices vary by date, and a reduced ride lineup doesn't necessarily mean a cheaper visit, the report says. Those are its observations, and whether to go is your call.
Inside HalloWeekends
The report describes family-friendly daytime activities and frightening nighttime entertainment, including scare zones, indoor haunted mazes, and special entertainment.
Trick-or-treat trails, hay mazes, kids' costume contests, and the show Snoopy's Tricks and Treats Adventure are included with regular admission. Indoor mazes and other nighttime experiences require add-ons like the Haunted Attractions Pass and The Conjuring: Beyond Fear Add-On.
The Bloody Mistake at the Truck Stop
On October 25, according to a separate report, an off-duty law enforcement officer noticed a person “covered in blood” entering a vehicle at the 24-hour Love's Travel Stop on U.S. Route 250 in Milan, Ohio, shortly after 10:00 p.m., and asked on-duty police for help.
The scanner report reached the Cedar Point fan community on Reddit because the officer soon gave an all-clear. The person turned out to be a Cedar Point scare actor, still wearing fake blood from a costume. The report quotes the all-clear message: “Oops, my mistake. You have a good evening!”
Under Two Minutes
The officer canceled the request in less than two minutes, the report says, after the “subject covered in blood” was “determined to be Cedar Point haunted house employee after work.” The scanner report ended: “No issues.”
On Reddit, u/bengenj recalled a similar incident: “Had a buddy pulled over by Mason Police and they were confused because he was a werewolf and hadn't completely removed his extra stuff.” We can't verify that comment or where the stop took place.
Getting Ready for a Last Visit
If you're planning a final trip, check Cedar Point's official operating schedule for the day you're going, since the report says its lists overlap and the lineup keeps changing. Decide which rides matter most to you, and whether the open attractions and HalloWeekends entertainment make the trip worthwhile.
Your Verdict
With so many attractions unavailable, is one final visit to Cedar Point worth the trip, or would you rather save your money and return in 2027? Tell us in the comments what you're planning, and whether you've ever been mistaken for a monster on the way home.
