7. Limited Edition Pins

In addition to regular pins, Disney also releases limited edition pins to commemorate special events, such as Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, holidays, or anniversaries. There are also limited edition pins that are for certain groups like cast members of Disney Vacation Club.  These pins are typically more expensive and there are lesser quantities available. Typically, these pins are kept as keepsakes and not traded due to the expense and limited quantities, but they can be traded.

8. Hidden Mickey Pins

Hidden Mickey pins are found on Cast Member’s lanyards. They are released randomly so you never know what pins might pop up. While the pins are not "limited edition", they are seen on Cast Member’s lanyards before they are sold in the parks. This helps to give guests a chance to trade for unique pins. Hidden Mickey pins feature a small silver Mickey icon on the pin. Older Hidden Mickey pins can be bought in mystery packs sold at merchandise locations.
