One of the most beloved and nostalgic attractions at Disneyland is the King Arthur Carrousel which was part of the park’s opening day in 1955. Even though Disneyland has been closed for over a year now due to COVID-19, Disney Imagineers haven’t stop planning, imagining, and refurbishing attractions.
We previously shared the Haunted Mansion has new enhancements. Now, you can expect a refreshing look for King Arthur Carrousel when Disneyland reopens April 30. The brightened version of the carrousel is sparkling with 14k gold leaf accents, vibrant details and bold colors.
As shared by Disney: “Each steed was hand repainted, and more than 30 colors were used. With each horse slightly different from one another, riders both young and young at heart can look forward to finding their perfect mount among the 68 leaping horses. In the video below, Imagineer Kim Irvine describes the magical updates to this classic attraction.”
