In recent years, Disney World has experienced a wave of ride closures, prompting many guests to wonder what might come next. As the resort undergoes significant changes heading into 2026, the number of attractions facing the chopping block seems to be growing. The public's interest is piqued, with many returning visitors sharing their concerns and hopes regarding their favorite attractions.

Among the most iconic rides at Disney World, the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror stands as a beloved staple.
However, its place within Disney’s Hollywood Studios is increasingly questioned. While it continues to rank highly among guests for its thrilling experience, some feel it depicts a bygone era of theme park storytelling. Opened back in 1994, the attraction has been a central draw; nevertheless, there's an undeniable shift toward more modern franchises and intellectual property (IP) themes within the park.

After refurbishing the West Coast version into a Marvel-themed attraction, speculation buzzes around the Orlando variant’s future. Could it face a similar fate, being entirely reimagined or losing its beloved Twilight Zone theming? The debate continues as fans wonder what future changes might mean for this classic ride.

Another marquee attraction at risk is Stitch’s Great Escape, which has not seen guests since 2018. This vacant spot in Tomorrowland, once a bustling theater, now sits dormant, ripe for renewal. Given its prime location in Magic Kingdom, the space beckons imagination about new experiences that could replace the abandoned thrill. Noteworthy is the controversy surrounding Stitch’s Great Escape, a show that was designed to align with a humorous yet thrilling narrative.

Despite its initial fanfare, it has struggled to find its place in the ever-evolving Disney landscape. While no official announcements have been made regarding its future, the anticipation for what might take over the beloved area grows daily.

The Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular offers an exciting peek into the world of action cinema, showcasing thrilling stunts performed by skilled performers.

However, even as a fan-favorite, it faces challenges in adapting to Disney's overall park vision. Having entertained audiences for decades, its prominence feels increasingly overshadowed by other attractions that lean more heavily into contemporary cinematic experiences. While it dazzles, the question remains regarding its fit within the new Hollywood Studios landscape, which focuses on popular IPs rather than the classic behind-the-scenes spectacle. Its expansive footprint may also prompt Disney to explore the opportunity to replace it with something that captures the current cultural zeitgeist, as well as an audience hungry for fresh experience.

The Tomorrowland Speedway has long been regarded as a fixture that divides opinions. While it delivers a nostalgic driving experience for many young guests, environmental concerns arise about its gas-powered vehicles and the noise it generates. Over the years, numerous discussions have circled regarding the viability of this attraction within the park's narrative of progress and innovation.

As guests eagerly seek out more environmentally responsible experiences, it seems the Speedway may not align with the shifting expectations of modern audiences. Speculation surrounding its future is rife, from possible permanent closure to an overhaul that embraces eco-friendly driving models illustrative of Tomorrowland’s theme.
