Breakfast In Bed

A Resort day is all about unwinding, relaxing, and enjoying all the awesome Resort amenities. What better way to recharge than to enjoy a bit later wake-up call (you’ve earned it after yesterday’s early morning) and to amp up the luxury by splurging on room service. Make your breakfast selections the night prior and select a delivery time. When you wake, you need only slip on your fluffy robe and relax with a special breakfast in the comfort of your Resort room.

Break A Sweat

Take some time to visit the gym during your Resort day. Grand Floridian has one of the largest Resort gyms on the Disney property, with ample weight training equipment, treadmills, ellipticals, and more. Filtered water and towels are on hand for your convenience. If you want to take your workout outside, hit trails winding around the Resort to get a self-paced tour of the grounds while squeezing in your steps, or take the walking trail to the Magic Kingdom (around a 15-minute walk) before heading back to the Resort.

Shop

Take a few minutes to hit the shops in the Resort for some retail therapy. If you are searching for a beautiful outfit with a Disney twist, drop by Curiouser Clothiers to browse brands like Lilly Pulitzer and Vineyard Vines alongside Disney original brands. Basin White is the place to go if you shop for new skincare and bath products to pamper yourself on vacation. Snag a bath bomb to unwind with later in your Resort room. Mouse Mercantile stocks Disney t-shirts, mugs, and resort-branded souvenirs. Visit Sandy Cove Gifts & Sundries if you need to pick up snacks, toiletries, or just want to browse more Mickey merch- visit Sandy Cove Gifts & Sundries.

Explore and Enjoy the Views

This Resort is such a showstopper. The architecture, theming, attention to detail, and Victorian touches make this Resort such a beautiful place just to hang out. If you are like us, you often find yourself rushing to and from your Resort room on vacation with detours to places like a pool, restaurant, or gift shop a few times during your trip. While there is nothing wrong with a fast-paced vacation, this means that so many Guests don’t take the time to explore the Resort and appreciate the hidden details. Stroll the gardens between the pool and Disney’s Wedding pavilion, and take in the lobby atrium’s grandeur while a pianist plays. Take the time to slow down and soak in the details of this beautiful Resort.

Afternoon Cocktails

Kick-off the evening with a cocktail at the newly renovated Enchanted Rose Lounge. This beautiful space channels the Beauty and the Beast live-action film and serves up artisan cocktails and mouth-watering appetizers. You cannot go wrong with an order of Truffle Fries and a featured cocktail like the Floral Bitter Beauty.

Dinner at CĂtricos

Forever one of our favorite Walt Disney World restaurants, no Resort day at The Grand Floridian is complete without a dinner at CĂtricos. We are crazy about the fresh seasonal menu that has each dish bursting with flavor. A recent restaurant renovation provides all the more reason to visit CĂtricos. Redesigned to channel the charm of the film Mary Poppins Returns, Guests will enjoy the fresh theme as they enjoy a glass of wine and a delicious meal with a view of Seven Seas Lagoon.

Seriously, take advantage of your nifty location by hopping the Resort monorail to enjoy a ride around Seven Seas Lagoon. Take the grand circle tour and head back to your Resort, or hop off at different resorts to sample food, drinks, and explore. You cannot beat a monorail session for snacks and cocktails!

Electrical Water Parade Wind Down

Grab a beach blanket and head down to the shores of Seven Seas Lagoon to watch the Electrical Water Pageant. This adorable light show water parade showcases sea creatures, patriotic sequences, and even a friendly sea monster. This short show is a fun way to wind down at the end of the day without the need to leave your Resort. When the show ends, take some time to enjoy the ambiance of the moonlit castle and beach, take an evening monorail ride, or stroll the Resort to take in the scenery after dark.
