Sprinkles at Disney Springs Is GONE and the Replacement Opens March 2

CrazyShake by Black Tap is set to open on March 2, 2026, at the former Sprinkles location in Disney Springs. This specialty milkshake pop-up will focus solely on their Instagram-worthy CrazyShakes, without the full dining experience of Black Tap’s California location. The 90-day pop-up agreement raises questions about its long-term viability, as it may close by early June if not extended. This limited-time offer encourages immediate visits, capitalizing on the popularity of visually striking desserts.

The Menu and Prices

Most of the signature CrazyShakes cost $17.50, which is honestly pretty steep for a milkshake even when you factor in all the toppings and Instagram value.

The BAM BAM Shake has a vanilla-frosted rim with fruity pebbles, topped with a fruity pebbles Rice Krispies treat, strawberry Pop-Tarts, Laffy Taffy, whipped cream, and a cherry.

The Cookie Shake has a vanilla-frosted rim with cookie crumbles, topped with a cookiewich, crumbled cookies, chocolate chips, whipped cream, and chocolate drizzle.

The Cookies ‘n Cream Supreme has a vanilla-frosted rim with crushed Oreos, a cookies ‘n cream sandwich, crumbled Oreos, whipped cream, and chocolate drizzle.

The Brooklyn Blackout has a chocolate-frosted rim with mini chocolate chips, topped with TWO chocolate brownies, whipped cream, and chocolate drizzle.

Then there’s the Special Edition Mickey CrazyShake which costs $24, making it significantly more expensive than the other options. This one has a vanilla frosting rim and Mickey sprinkles topped with a homemade Mickey-shaped crispy treat, rock candy, whipped cream, and cherry. The $24 price point represents a serious premium over the $17.50 standard CrazyShakes, but supposedly the price difference reflects premium ingredients including top-tier rock candy and a Rice Krispie treat made with professional-grade fondant instead of standard marshmallow treats.

Classic shakes without all the crazy toppings cost $12 with eight flavor options: chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, Nutella, peanut butter, cookie, fruity pebbles, and oreo cookies and cream. So if you just want a normal milkshake without the Instagram spectacle, you can get one for half the price of the specialty options.

Why People Are Excited for This Disney Springs Addition

The popularity of CrazyShakes stems from their visual appeal, making them perfect for TikTok and Instagram. These extravagant milkshakes feature frosting-rimmed glasses stacked with cookies, candy, brownies, and whipped cream, creating a spectacle that often leads to guests snapping photos before their first sip.

Importantly, CrazyShake by Black Tap not only looks amazing but also tastes great, unlike other Instagram-focused desserts that can disappoint. This combination of quality and visual allure ensures satisfied customers who become enthusiastic brand advocates.

The Sprinkles Replacement Makes Sense

The former Sprinkles storefront represented prime real estate in one of Disney Springs’ most heavily trafficked areas, making the space incredibly desirable for any food concept looking to maximize visibility and foot traffic. Sprinkles had been offering upscale cupcakes in a boutique bakery environment, so replacing it with another premium dessert concept maintains the space’s identity as a destination for special-occasion treats instead of everyday dining.

The grab-and-go nature of the CrazyShake operation also suits the Sprinkles storefront’s size perfectly since it was designed for quick transactions rather than extended dining experiences. You walk up, order your shake, take your Instagram photos, and move on.

Will This Get Gideon’s-Level Lines at Disney Springs

The big question is whether CrazyShake by Black Tap will attract long queues like nearby Gideon’s Bakehouse, known for its multi-hour waits. This will depend on how well it executes, whether the $17.50 to $24 pricing feels justified, the convenience of its location in Disney Springs, and whether the shakes live up to their visual promise. The location opens at noon on March 2, 2026, so we’ll soon see if it becomes a must-visit dessert spot or just another option for guests.
