A weather advisory has been issued for Walt Disney World, causing guests to remain vigilant during their visit. The National Weather Service has declared a red flag warning, indicating that conditions could lead to critical fire hazards in the area. This warning primarily affects Orange and Osceola counties, home to the beloved Walt Disney World Resort as well as the nearby Universal Orlando Resort.
This red flag warning serves as a caution regarding the potential for wildfires, primarily driven by low humidity levels and increased wind speeds. Guests traversing the resort should note that temperatures are expected to reach highs of 85 degrees during the day, with a cooler drop to 59 degrees at night.
Wind speeds could pick up, reaching 10 to 15 miles per hour. While these warnings are not uncommon for Florida, it is essential for visitors to stay updated on local weather conditions as they explore the various parks.
The current advisory is in effect from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, April 11, 2025, and it extends beyond Disney World to include surrounding counties such as Volusia, Seminole, Brevard, and Lake counties.
Despite the weather advisory, guests can still enjoy their day at the parks. Most, if not all, rides and attractions are operational, allowing families to make the most of their time at Disney World. The management team has implemented various safety measures to ensure guest well-being during this heightened weather alert.
As the temperature rises, guests tend to flock to the water rides. Attractions like Kali River Rapids, which recently reopened after a seasonal refurbishment, and Tiana’s Bayou Adventure are particularly popular during warmer months. Guests are encouraged to stay hydrated and take breaks as needed, particularly when experiencing heightened temperatures during their visit.
Disney’s staff is trained to monitor conditions closely and ensure the safety of everyone in the parks. Any potentially dangerous areas may be restricted temporarily, and additional safety signage is placed throughout the venue.

This development has stirred quite a bit of controversy among fans, as opinions vary on modern changes to cherished spaces within the parks. Nevertheless, the excitement surrounding the prospect of new rides and attractions continues to build as Disney strives to innovate while maintaining its esteemed legacy.
Staying Informed During Your Visit
