Hoping to indulge in some relaxing spa services on your next Walt Disney World vacation? Spa services around the Walt Disney World Resort were initially shut down at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020, and since the reopening of the parks and resorts that summer we have slowly seen spas return to operation around property.
One of the most iconic spas at Walt Disney World, the Grand Floridian Spa, comes with a highly anticipated reopening not only because we are thrilled to see another amenity return for resort Guests, but also because the spa has been totally reimagined since its closure.
When it reopens later this month on January 26, 2022, the will sport an all-new design that reflects the victorian theming and decor of the , just minutes away from the .
The entryway of the spa now features a gorgeous Victorian garden to set the state for a day of relaxing at the , complete with calming music and warm lighting packages. We think it looks reminiscent of the warm light used to brighten up the lobby and other interior areas of this .
Many previously available spa services have returned along with a variety of new treatments. Highlights from the service menu include full massages like The Grand Massage and the Massage for Two, which both use botanical lotions alongside professional massage therapy techniques to help to relieve tension and fatigue. For a full-body exfoliation, Nature’s Renewal Hydrating Treatment is sure to push away winter blues (and dry skin) and leave you fully refreshed to take on the new year.
The reopening of the spa also means the return of hairstyling and nail treatments to the resort. Book an appointment to get your haircut (or perhaps styled before a special occasion while at Walt Disney World) or spend time away from the parks getting The Grand Manicure or Pedicure, or both! All nail treatments come with the basics like your choice of polish, plus an upscale relaxation experience with massages, masks, and exfoliation.
Be sure to arrive early (or spend some extra time) after your spa treatment to unwind in the Grand Floridian Spa’s relaxation lounge before heading back out to the hustle and bustle of the resort and Disney parks.
Reservation sare strongly encouraged for treatments at the Grand Floridian Spa, and a full menu of services will be available prior to the reservation page on disneyworld.com.
