The Land Pavilion at EPCOT is showing significant neglect, with filthy decorative elements and damaged fixtures visible throughout the World Nature building, according to reports from Walt Disney World Resort guests.
WDWNT documented the deterioration on March 3, posting a Facebook photo highlighting stained fabric and other maintenance failures ahead of the debut of a reimagined attraction in The Land Pavilion.
Years of Dirt Accumulation

Yellow and orange ribbons cascading from the ceiling of The Land Pavilion appear not to have been cleaned in years. WDWNT‘s photos show the fabric clearly filthy and stained by water or other fluids.
The Land Pavilion houses Soarin' Around the World, Living with the Land, Sunshine Seasons Quick-Service restaurant, and Garden Grill Character Dining. This summer, the building will welcome Soarin' Across America—an updated flight simulator experience created by Walt Disney Imagineering to celebrate the United States' 250th anniversary in July. The refreshed attraction will appear at both EPCOT and Disney California Adventure Park.
Damage Elsewhere in EPCOT

WDWNT also reported damage at Connections Eatery in the World Celebration neighborhood. A large sign's black frame shows scuffs and dents likely from repeated guest contact.
Walt Disney World Resort hasn't commented on the deterioration throughout EPCOT or provided repair timelines.
Deferred Maintenance Pattern

The filthy ribbons and damaged signage represent visible examples of what appears to be widespread deferred maintenance at EPCOT. When decorative elements remain dirty for years and damaged fixtures go unrepaired, it suggests systematic neglect rather than isolated oversights.
The timing is particularly poor given Soarin' Across America's approaching premiere. Guests visiting the new attraction will encounter dirty fabric prominently displayed in The Land Pavilion, undermining the “new” experience Disney is promoting.
