3. Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin
While not Disney-operated resorts, the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin does have one of the most beautiful and most convenient locations. The resorts are in walking distance to both Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and they offer watercraft service to each of the parks on top of complimentary bus service to the Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, the water parks, and Disney Springs. If you’re thinking that these resorts are ‘old news’ and that they may not necessarily be trending now, there are a couple of reasons why you may need to plan another visit.
The two resorts recently underwent a complete room renovation, which included updating the décor, upgrading amenities, and installing what may just be the most comfortable beds in the industry. Public areas like the lobbies have also been refreshed with a sleek, modern design, that while not overtly “Disney” can easily appeal to the tastes of guests looking for a deluxe resort experience in an incredible location. The refurbishment also included the addition of Phins, the brand-new lobby bar at the Dolphin, which serves specialty cocktails, small plates, and even brunch on Sundays. If you haven’t stepped inside these resorts in a few years, it’s totally worth the stop (or stay!)
