If you’ve ever felt like your Annual Pass should come with a little extra pixie dust, Disney is finally delivering. This summer, a brand-new experience is landing in Magic Kingdom—but unless you’ve got that coveted Annual Pass, you’ll be missing out entirely.
It’s not a new ride. It’s not a parade. It’s not even a nighttime spectacular. But it is something that could easily become one of the most talked-about moments of the summer for those in the know.
A Villainous Touch Arrives in Fantasyland
Beginning June 15 through July 31, Annual Passholders can take part in a unique Maleficent-themed photo experience tucked away in Fantasyland. It’s located right by the castle walls near Pinocchio Village Haus and will operate daily from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
This isn’t your average character backdrop. It’s a Disney PhotoPass Magic Shot that features Diablo—Maleficent’s ever-watchful raven—making your photos a little more wicked. The setup is designed to blend seamlessly into Fantasyland, so unless you know it’s there, you might walk right by without even noticing it.
Perks, Discounts, and a Whole Lot of Magic
The new photo op is just one piece of a much bigger celebration called V.I.PASSHOLDER Summer Days. This limited-time offering is stacked with extras that go beyond the usual discounts. Think: exclusive merchandise, a Maleficent-themed magnet, and a stunning new tumbler designed by fan-favorite artist Joey Chou.
Over at EPCOT, Passholders have access to a dedicated lounge space through July 13—perfect for a little mid-park cool-down. And maybe the biggest surprise? Several park restaurants are offering 40% off food from Monday to Thursday. That’s a discount we haven’t seen in years.
Why It’s a Big Deal for Magic Kingdom
Annual Passholders are used to perks like merchandise previews and dining discounts, but Magic Kingdom has rarely been the spot for Passholder-only offerings. This new experience changes that. It gives loyal Disney fans something a bit more personal—right in the heart of the most visited theme park on Earth.
It’s also part of a broader villain vibe across Walt Disney World this summer. Over at Hollywood Studios, Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After is making its stage debut, continuing a trend that embraces the darker side of Disney storytelling.
So, if you’re an Annual Passholder, now’s the time to lean into the perks. Magic Kingdom just got a little more magical… but only for those who’ve got the right pass in their wallet.
