Have you ever wondered what it would be like to evacuate a brand-new ride at Disneyland Resort? Well, one Disney Park guest brought TikTok viewers along after he got stuck on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure for a second time.
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure opened in Bayou Country at Disneyland Park on November 15. The Princess and the Frog (2009) retheme of Splash Mountain takes guests on an adventure to find the perfect musicians for a New Orleans celebration with Princess Tiana (Anika Noni Rose), Prince Naveen (Bruno Campos), Louis (Michael-Leon Wooley), and Mama Odie (Jenifer Lewis).
This summer, Walt Disney World Resort premiered its version of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in Frontierland at Magic Kingdom Park. The ride experienced repeated maintenance issues in its early days, with multiple Disney cast member and Annual Passholder previews canceled hours before Magic Kingdom Park closed.
Disney Park guests report fewer issues with Central Florida’s Tiana’s Bayou Adventure these days, and the Southern California version of the log flume ride experienced a much smoother opening period. However, TikToker @drewthedisneymaniac has been evacuated from the Disneyland Park Splash Mountain retheme twice since it opened in November.
While some Disney Park guests would consider the guest’s experiences unlucky, many Disney Parks fans dream of getting an “in-show exit,” especially from a brand new attraction. Knowing this, the TikToker shared this video of his experience evacuating from one of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure’s lift hills:
@drewthedisneymaniac Got stuck on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure for my 2nd time! Super excited to share this video with you guys! If you enjoy Disney Ride Evacuations follow my TikTok! In the video, Disney cast members guide guests out of their logs and down a set of emergency stairs. Employees then bring guests through a backstage area and give them free Lightning Lane passes before sending them back into Disneyland Park.
Unsurprisingly, Disney Parks fans loved the behind-the-scenes look.
“Bro! You’re so lucky that you’ve gotten stuck twice on that ride!” @kevinisgood0_ commented. “I’ve wanted to get stuck on that ride so bad!”
It’s unclear what caused this breakdown at Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, but the ride reopened shortly after. Guests visiting the Disney parks should check the Disneyland Resort or Walt Disney World Resort app for the most up-to-date operational information.
