Almost a week after the grand opening of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Walt Disney World Resort, more Princess Tiana is coming to Magic Kingdom Park.

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure opened in Frontierland on June 28, 2024. Reviews of the attraction are mixed, with some Disney Parks fans enthralled by the advanced Walt Disney Imagineering animatronics. Others feel the log flume ride has more empty space than its predecessor, Splash Mountain, and are disappointed by the no-conflict plotline.

The attraction features Princess Tiana (Anika Noni-Rose), Prince Naveen (Bruno Campos), Louis (Michael Leon-Wooley), and Mama Odie (Jenifer Lewis) preparing for a party on the Bayou. Guests help gather a band of talented musicians to capture the spirit of New Orleans. The Princess and the Frog (2009)’s antagonist, Dr. Facilier (Keith David), isn’t featured.

Maintenance issues have also been an issue for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. Like Splash Mountain, it breaks down frequently. Firefighters have responded to evacuate the Disney Park attraction multiple times since it began previews last month.

Despite some negative feedback and technical issues, Disney Park guests are excited about Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. Its Virtual Queue fills up in seconds each morning, and a steady flow of Disney Genie+ guests scan into the Lightning Lane hourly.

This week, Walt Disney World Resort made another change at Magic Kingdom Park to celebrate Princess Tiana and friends. Imagineering installed the official attraction poster in the breezeway under the Walt Disney World Railroad station on Main Street, U.S.A.

An animated scene featuring a woman in a yellow suit and red tie standing beside a large, friendly alligator. Both characters are smiling and appear to be in a forest setting with vibrant greenery and blue lighting. Another smaller character is in the scene as well.

Guests entering Magic Kingdom Park see ride and entertainment advertisements as they “leave today and enter the world of Yesterday, Tomorrow, and Fantasy.” Tiana’s Bayou Adventure joins the Happily Ever After fireworks, Tomorrowland Transit Authority Peoplemover, Monorail, and more on the breezeway wall.
