Top Planning Tips for Your Disney World Trip in the Fall

3. Smaller Crowds

Because kids typically go back to school in late August and early September, many parents don’t plan a vacation for the month or two after the school year begins. Because of this, late September through mid-November are some of the least busy times for the parks. This means more time enjoying rides and attractions without having to wait in longer lines and navigating through large crowds!

4. Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party

Fall is generally a less-crowded time to enjoy the parks, with the exception of this fun, Halloween event! Take in special Halloween-themed parades, shows, treats, and more at this fun, Magic Kingdom after-hours event that occurs on select nights in the fall through October 31. If you’re planning a fall trip in October, definitely check out tickets for this memorable night, and be sure to pack a fun Halloween costume to wear!

5. Fall Decorations

Right after Labor Day, guests will start to see fall leaves, flowers, hay bales, pumpkins, and other fall staples popping up around the parks. Fans of fall décor will absolutely love taking in the beautiful additions to the parks that can really get you into the fall spirit!
