Top 5 Ways To Make The Most of WDW As A Family

Going on a vacation with your family is always a special time, going to Walt Disney World with your family takes special to a whole new level. We all plan these Disney trips with the idea of a “perfect” vacation in our minds, but it’s really about the time you spend there with the people you love the most that make the trip magic. Here are the top 5 ways to make the most of your Disney World vacation.

5. Pictures – Whether you take advantage of a Memory Maker or bring your own camera, taking fun Disney pictures will be a way to take those awesome family memories with you. Disney has photo ops all over the parks with photographers waiting to snap a picture for you. The backgrounds are one of a kind Disney and the photographers have a knack for getting the best smiles. Don’t forget to pose while on some of the more popular rides also. Those make for some of the most entertaining pictures to keep.

4. Meals – Anytime a family can eat together is time to be cherished, and when that happens at Disney, it’s even better. Character meals are a great time to share with your family. The buffets make choosing easy for everyone in your family and you won’t be disappointed. You get character visits at your table that make the experience more fun and memorable. Even if you eat at a table service or quick service restaurant, it is still a great way to enjoy time with your family. With no dishes or clean up, how could you not be happy?

3. Shows – Disney has so many shows to choose from, there will be something that everyone in your family will want to see. Some of the ones you won’t want to miss as a family are: Fantasmic at Hollywood Studios, Illuminations at Epcot and Wishes Fireworks at Magic Kingdom. If you want to make them even more memorable, add the Glow with the Show Mickey ears. These special ears light up with the music from almost any Disney World show. Take just a moment during any Disney show and look over at your family. There have been moments when I have looked over at my boys and seen such joy on their faces, that I don’t even remember what was happening in the show.

2. Fun outside the parks – Make sure to take just a minute, or half a day, to enjoy other parts of Disney with your family outside of the parks. The Disney resorts have some of the best pools we have ever taken a dip in while on vacation and if you like water thrills, visit one of the 2 water parks on property. They have some fun family raft water slides that will make for many laughs and memories . If you have a game loving family, try a round of putt-putt golf or a visit to DisneyQuest in Downtown Disney.

1.Disney Park rides – After spending the day riding “Haunted Mansion” or “Soarin” until your heart’s content, and hearing your family hum the catchy tune from “It’s a Small World” all night, you will be thankful for all the reasons why you decided to take a Disney vacation in the first place. The time spent in lines waiting, or while getting strapped in to a ride is time spent with your family and a chance to just enjoy being together at the “Happiest Place on Earth”. Take the time to enjoy the moment.
