PHOTOS: Takeover Reported on Disney’s Hollywood Studios Ride

Walt Disney World Resort fans are used to magical encounters, but guests on Toy Story Mania! at Disney’s Hollywood Studios recently encountered an unexpected visitor. A bird made its way into the fully indoor attraction, leaving parkgoers amused. One Disney Park guest shared the moment online.

Toy Story Mania!, which opened as Toy Story Midway Mania! in Pixar Place in 2008, is now a centerpiece of Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The ride’s immersive 4-D experience pits guests against one another in a playful competition of carnival-style games. While its current queue and entrance were revamped to fit into Toy Story Land, the ride’s original entrance remains an emergency exit.

Last week, Redditor u/sandy_shark903 shared photos of a bird perched on a decorative setpiece inside the attraction. The caption read, “There was a bird in Toy Story Mania today,” sparking a lively discussion among Disney Parks fans about the surprise encounter.

Disney Parks fans were quick to express their shock at seeing a bird inside a completely indoor ride.

“I could understand a ride like It’s a Small World, but Toy Story Mania is crazy,” commented u/hello56845864.

Another user, u/SalamiMommie, joked, “I imagine the bird is thinking, ‘I really got myself into a pickle this time.'”

Other Disney Parks fans jokingly imagined the bird as a bonus target on the ride’s interactive game.

“How many points?” asked u/conscious_town_1454.

“You unlocked the bonus round,” u/kittenmcmuffenz replied.

Despite Disney’s meticulous theming and design, Central Florida wildlife occasionally makes its presence known. It’s not uncommon for guests to spot lizards, squirrels, or even small alligators across Walt Disney World Resort.

It’s unclear if cast members were able to escort the bird out of the attraction safely. Walt Disney World Resort has protocols for managing wildlife encounters, ensuring both guests and animals are unharmed. These procedures have been tested in the past, including during an incident last year when a black bear briefly closed parts of Magic Kingdom Park.
