Trending Restaurant Experiences Around Walt Disney World Resort

Storybook Dining Artist Point

Experiencing the food on a Walt Disney World vacation has become just as important to some people as experiencing the attractions. Much time and thought are put into which restaurants and meals to choose, and much online space is given to the reviews of both as well. Here’s a rundown of what’s currently trending around Walt Disney World Resort. Whether you consider yourself a serious foodie, or simply a person who appreciates a good meal, it’s nice to know which establishments have proven themselves to be fan favorites recently.

1. Storybook Dining at Artist Point

The renovations at Wilderness Lodge also included a revamping of the dining at Artist Point. For months fans have been chatting online about the addition of a new princess character dining experience. Now that it’s here, the general consensus about Storybook Dining lives up to the hype. Everyone’s saying that the characters and food meet or exceed expectations. If you want to join in the Storybook Dining trend, you can anticipate meeting Snow White, Grumpy, Dopey, and The Evil Queen (who, true to character, does not visit the table). These characters are a big deal, because the last three mentioned are not normally accessible in the parks. As far as food, restaurant goers are loving the uniquely themed cocktails, the shared table appetizers and desserts (can’t wait to try the “Poison” Apple), as well as the amply sized entrees. All in all, it’s no wonder that Artist Point is the current WDW hotspot!

2. Sebastian’s Bistro

Within the newly updated Caribbean Beach Resort, you’ll find a brand new casual dining experience called Sebastian’s Bistro. Named for the lovably protective Little Mermaid character, Sebastian’s Bistro offers a plethora of Caribbean flavors that will have you dreaming of an island vacation. Crab cakes are a fan favorite, for sure! However, though reviews are generally positive for Sebastian’s Bistro, it seems to be trending at the moment simply for its newness. People want to see the new renovations at the resort and making a reservation at Sebastian’s is a great way to do that. Plus, Disney regulars are always curious about the newest eatery. Our prediction is that this trend bubble will burst soon, making reservations easier to get in coming months and creating a quieter ambiance for resort guests.

3. Satu’li Canteen

The Pandora trend is definitely still hot, and so is the Satu’li Canteen experience! Here at this quick service restaurant in Animal Kingdom, the food is as beautiful as it is tasty. Reviewers especially love the customizable bowls as well as the pods—dumpling-like creations offered with both breakfast and lunch/dinner fillings. They also love the colorful Blueberry Cream Cheese Mouse for dessert and the bright mixed drinks. We don’t anticipate the traffic at this unique restaurant to thin out anytime soon, so if you want to experience any of these artful eats, you may want to take advantage of the mobile pre-order option available through the My Disney Experience app.
