Epic Universe has been drawing crowds since opening in May 2025, but Universal Orlando Resort is about to give some guests a chance to experience the park with fewer people around.
There's just one catch: that opportunity comes with a price tag approaching $180.
Universal has started selling tickets for Universal Nights at Epic Universe, a limited-capacity after-hours event scheduled for two nights this fall. The event gives guests access to attractions throughout the park while throwing in several extras along the way.
Epic Universe Will Stay Open After Hours
Universal Nights will take place October 3 and October 17.
The official event runs from 9 p.m. until midnight, although ticket holders can enter Epic Universe beginning at 7 p.m. That means guests can potentially spend five hours inside the park.
Universal is promoting limited capacity as one of the event's major benefits.
All attractions and experiences across Epic Universe's five worlds are expected to remain available during the event. For guests who have been dealing with larger daytime crowds, the prospect of getting three hours of limited-capacity park access could make Universal Nights appealing.
That convenience won't come cheaply, though.
Tickets Start at $179.99
Admission starts at $179.99 per person, making this a premium addition to an Epic Universe visit.
The ticket does include more than after-hours attraction access.
Guests will receive complimentary snacks, including berry-flavored Celestial Popcorn and crispy Kimchi Bao at Celestial Park. They'll also receive a cup that can be refilled at Coca-Cola Freestyle locations throughout the event.
Character appearances and Celestial Goodnight are also included.
Universal Orlando Annual Passholders aren't left completely out of the deal. Passholders can save 10% on tickets.
Premier Passholders also receive 15% discounts on food and merchandise during Universal Nights, while Preferred Passholders receive 10% discounts.
Still, that leads directly into a much bigger conversation surrounding Epic Universe.
Annual Passholders Are Still Waiting
Since Epic Universe opened, many UOAP holders have wondered when the park might become part of Universal Orlando's regular annual pass lineup.
That still hasn't happened.
Instead, Universal continues finding ways to sell separate access to Epic Universe while giving Passholders discounts or other benefits.
Universal Nights continues that approach.
There's no confirmation that Universal plans to keep Epic Universe outside its annual passes permanently. However, the continued introduction of separate ticket options suggests Universal isn't in a hurry to make the park another standard UOAP benefit.
For now, Passholders who want this lower-capacity experience still have to purchase a separate ticket.
And at nearly $180 before the Passholder discount, Universal Nights is clearly being positioned as a premium way to experience Epic Universe rather than another perk included with an existing annual pass.
With only October 3 and October 17 currently available, Universal is keeping the event limited in more ways than one.
