Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa hosts an elaborate Easter egg display each year with large-scale chocolate eggs handmade by members of Disney’s talented pastry team. This year’s displays just went up in the resort’s lobby, and Disney Parks took to TikTok to share a behind-the-scenes look of Cast Members getting the Easter display ready for Guests:

This year’s display features eggs inspired by classic Disney films like Cinderella (check out the Easter egg inspired by Cinderella’s coach!) as well as eggs themed after characters from the Marvel Cinematic Universe and even different areas within Walt Disney World theme parks.
While these Easter eggs are made with all edible ingredients, it takes Disney’s pastry team months to create the works of art. Pastry chefs need to first mold the chocolate into something close to the shape of an egg so it can be cooled and sculpted into the exact shape needed for each design. From there, the artwork is handpainted and the eggs are adorned with added details to make them more three-dimensional.
If you view the eggs when you this year, remember that all sides of the eggs are covered. The back might have less to see, but each is handpainted in its entirety, so if you are able to walk around the eggs, be sure to view all sides of them to see the full effect!
This year’s also features the , which is selling sweets for Easter similar to how the resort’s offers cookies during the holidays. For more Easter at this , be sure to pop into the gift shops where you can pick up an , and check out the displays nearby the eggs.
The eggs are typically on display at the Grand Floridian Resort through the Easter holiday, coming up on April 17, and a week or so after the holiday. If you are visiting Walt Disney World in the coming weeks, a trip to the Grand Floridian is an easy monorail or boat ride away from the Magic Kingdom, and seeing the annual Easter Egg display is a great way to take a relaxing midday break from the park at one of Disney’s most iconic resorts.
