Cummings first portrayed Winnie the Pooh in 1988, when he took on the role from the character’s original voice actor, Disney Legend Sterling Holloway. He later became the understudy to voice Tigger for a number of years, before he became the sole voice for Tigger in The Tigger Movie (2000).
In the early 1990s, Cummings became a familiar voice to kids watching the Disney Afternoon series, Darkwing Duck, where he portrayed the superhero titular character as well as his alter-ego, Drake Mallard.

It may be surprising to hear, but Jim Cummings has not (yet?) been named a Disney Legend. Fans created an online petition earlier this year hoping to recognize the talented voice actor so that he may become a Disney Legend. The Disney Legend announcements usually come out in late spring/early summer, with the ceremony taking place around the end of August, so if Cummings is given this honor we will keep you updated here on Disney Fanatic.
