Walt Disney World for Rookies: What to Know Before You Go

2. A Little Something Extra

It goes without saying that for a Disney trip you will need some extra cash: money needed for souvenirs, tee shirts, food, et cetera. Iā€™m speaking from experience when I say whatever amount you are thinking of bringing, double it. There are park goers that pack their own lunches, buy small trinkets, and try to save any way they can, and thatā€™s totally fine. However, there are some things you can only acquire at a Disney park, such as Dole-Whip, pins, and Mickey ears, just to name a few. You donā€™t have to break the bank on souvenirs or food to have a proper Disney experience, but you may want to take a little bit of the magic home.

Zach Gass

Zach Gass is a writer from East Tennessee with a passion for all things under the Disney name. From Disney history to the careers of Mickey, Donald, and Goofy, Zach tries to keep his finger on the pulse of the mouse. While he would certainly love to see the parks around the globe, his home park will always be the Magic Kingdom of Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. When he's not rubbing elbows with Mickey, Zach enjoys reading fantasy novels, retro video games, theatre, puppetry, and the films of Tim Burton.
