‘Wednesday’ Season 3: Netflix Confirms Major New Celebrities Alongside Jenna Ortega

Fans won't have to wait for a trailer to find new reasons to get excited about Wednesday Season 3. Netflix has officially expanded the cast, bringing in several recognizable names as the series prepares for its upcoming season.

Season 3 has already had plenty of momentum thanks to Jenna Ortega's return, but the latest casting news adds even more excitement. Actors from hit series like Game of Thrones and Stranger Things are joining the growing ensemble, while familiar faces from previous seasons will continue their stories.

Netflix is still keeping the plot largely under wraps, but the newest announcements provide a better look at who will be part of Wednesday Addams' next adventure.

  • Morticia Addams (Catherine Zeta-Jones)
  • Gomez Addams (Luis Guzmán)
  • Pugsley Addams (Isaac Ordonez)
  • Tyler Galpin (Hunter Doohan)
  • Bianca Barclay (Joy Sunday)
  • Eugene Ottinger (Moosa Mostafa)

Eva Green and Winona Ryder Take Center Stage

Among the latest casting announcements, Eva Green and Winona Ryder have drawn the most attention.

Green will portray Aunt Ophelia, Morticia Addams' long-lost sister, who was presumed missing. Netflix has revealed that Ophelia's disappearance deeply affected the Addams Family, and her reemergence is expected to have a major impact moving forward. Showrunners Al Gough and Miles Millar have even teased that her arrival will “hit this family like a bomb.”

Ryder joins the cast as Tabitha, a brand-new character whose role remains a mystery. Netflix has shared almost nothing about her beyond her name, leaving fans to speculate about how she fits into Wednesday's world. Her casting also reunites her with Jenna Ortega after they appeared together in Beetlejuice Beetlejuice (2024), while marking another collaboration with executive producer Tim Burton.

Both actresses have long histories with fantasy and gothic storytelling, making them strong additions to the expanding cast.

Netflix Adds Even More Familiar Faces

Green and Ryder aren't the only notable newcomers heading to Nevermore Academy. Netflix has also confirmed several other additions, although many of their story details remain secret.

  • Noah Taylor as Cyrus — Known for Game of Thrones and Peaky Blinders, Taylor joins the cast as a mysterious new character.
  • Chris Sarandon as Balthazar — The iconic actor from The Princess Bride (1987) has been cast in a newly announced role.
  • James Lance — Best known for Ted Lasso, Lance will appear in a guest-starring role.
  • Oscar Morgan as Atticus — Morgan previously appeared in Gotham Knights and A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms.
  • Andrew McCarthy — The St. Elmo's Fire (1985) star has signed on for a guest appearance.
  • Lena Headey — The Game of Thrones actress has been confirmed for a guest-starring role, though her character remains unknown.
  • Kennedy Moyer as Daisy — Moyer, whose previous credits include Task and Roofman, rounds out the latest additions.

Netflix has only revealed character names for some of these performers, leaving several roles undisclosed. The creative team has also teased that Season 3 will introduce new students, new teachers, and additional Addams Family secrets.

What We Know About the Story So Far

While Netflix hasn't revealed the full plot, it has shared a few important details.

Season 3 will continue after the events of Season 2, with Aunt Ophelia's reemergence expected to play a significant role in the story. The series will also spend more time exploring the Addams Family while expanding life at Nevermore Academy through the arrival of new students and faculty members.

Netflix has also hinted that Wednesday will travel to Paris during the season, though exactly why she goes there and how that trip connects to the larger mystery remains unknown.

Those early details suggest viewers can expect another blend of supernatural suspense, family drama, and dark comedy.

Netflix Is Building an Even Bigger Season

The growing cast makes it clear that Netflix has ambitious plans for Wednesday Season 3. Returning stars already gave fans plenty to anticipate, and the addition of Winona Ryder, Eva Green, Lena Headey, Noah Taylor, Chris Sarandon, James Lance, Andrew McCarthy, Oscar Morgan, and Kennedy Moyer only adds to that excitement.

Many questions remain unanswered, and that's likely by design. Netflix continues to reveal just enough information to keep fans guessing while saving the biggest surprises for the season itself. If the latest announcements are any indication, Wednesday Addams will have plenty of new allies, enemies, and mysteries waiting when she returns to Nevermore Academy.
