3. Hard-ticket events

While there are many events that are included with admission to the parks, there are some that require a separate ticket. Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom and Galactic Nights at Disney’s Hollywood Studios are examples of these hard-ticket events and when they take place, the park closes early for guests with regular day tickets. You don’t want to spend over $100 to have 4-5 less hours in the park than you originally anticipated. Magic Kingdom also closes early for DVC and cast member events occasionally, so checking park hours is another thing you should do before buying tickets.
