What's New and What's Coming To Hollywood Studios At Disney World

5. Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge – Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Undoubtedly the most anticipated of all is Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. In less than a year you’ll be welcomed to a remote trading outpost on the world of Batuu, which you can currently get more than a quick glimpse of on Echo Lake’s Star Tours - The Adventures Continue.

In this living, breathing, unique Star Wars world you’ll be thrust into interactive story lines and you’ll even be able to fly the Millennium Falcon with your own co-pilots. While late 2019 a little later than many expected, with next year just around the corner, this new land is hardly “far, far away”…

6. Star Wars Hotel – Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge

If there’s one thing that’s generating as much hype as Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, it’s the Star Wars-themed hotel that will accompany it. Unlike the themed land, though, there’s no word on an official date of unveiling just yet, but it has been confirmed to be located within Galaxy’s Edge (naturally).

Expect everything you could possibly want from such a hotel, too. If you’ve been keeping track, you’ll already know that it will be starship-themed with views of that faraway galaxy, all the while engaging you in your very own story lines. To best check it out, be sure to “check in” when it lands!

7. Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway – Hollywood Boulevard

Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway will pioneer a revolutionary attraction experience, and one which includes everyone’s favorite Disney couple! While there’s no date as of yet, it is expected to arrive sometime next year.

Described by Imagineers as a “2 ½ D” experience, this ride will see you transition from the world of a theater room into the screen of a Mickey movie itself. Inside you’ll board Goofy’s steam train for the toon-tastic adventure of a lifetime, not unlike Disney’s revolutionary classic Who Framed Roger Rabbit!

Whether they’ve landed yet or not, these aren’t the only new experiences at the park. With new themed lands, attractions and movies, there’s already a plethora of new merchandise to be found here. And though temporary, don’t forget seasonal events like Flurry of Fun at Disney’s Hollywood Studios starting November 8.
