Why Animal Kingdom Is Even Better At Night

4. Explore Pandora

This spectacular section of the park is worth checking out in the daytime, but seeing it at night is an even more special experience! See Pandora all lit up with the help of some amazing lighting effects that make the plants actually look like they actually bioluminescent after the sun goes down. With beautiful blue, green, and purple glowing plants surrounding you, you will really feel like you’re in another world when you step into this area at night. Definitely check out the scenery, but also take advantage of the rides to enhance your experience even more!

5. Enjoy Rivers of Light

While the other parks may end their nights with a fireworks display, Animal Kingdom does things a little differently with a beautiful light projection and water show. Rivers of Light celebrates the beauty of nature and all living things with animal folklore, beautiful music, amazing projections and lighting displays, and stunning water features and effects. Best of all, it does not feature any loud sounds or fireworks to keep the animals in the park calm and danger-free. Be sure to look up time guides for the show before you head to the park, and try to find a viewing spot early!

With recent enhancements and amazing nighttime additions, Disney’s Animal Kingdom really has gone away from being a “half day park.” While there is plenty to experience during daylight hours, stepping into this park after dark will give you a whole different experience that you may not have anticipated from this type of theme park. If you are planning an upcoming Walt Disney World vacation, be sure to make time to enjoy Animal Kingdom after sunset!
