2. The New Tomorrowland
Tomorrowland was not fully functional on opening day, but was, for the most part, completely finished by 1975, with all new attractions, shops, and restaurants. Then, in 1994, Tomorrowland was transformed with a new theme, “The Future That Never Was” and today depicts a future as described by Science Fiction writers of the 1920’s and 1930’s, with all new imaginative, colors, building facades, and landscaping which included metal palm trees. What is really cool about this new theme and attractions is that there is not really a need for upgrading, except for refurbishing or replacement of current rides and attractions. I say this because, if you think about it, the past remains the same, and never changes. What has and will change over the years, however, are the rides and attractions, and that’s a good thing.
