5. Select Upcharges Carefully
Disney offers a variety of experiences that are lovingly (or not so lovingly) known as Disney upcharges. In my opinion, some upcharges (e.g. Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party) are absolutely worth it. Other options, like the MK dessert and firework viewing parties, are insanely overpriced for what you receive. It’s worth your time to check out fan reviews of these events to determine the value. When all else fails, you can get creative without committing to an upcharge experience. For example, instead of paying to attend a dessert party, buy a delicious sundae to eat before the nighttime spectacular starts. If you have a little girl, pack a beautiful costume for her and skip out on the expensive Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique experience. Like anything in life, your trip will be what you make of it.
