10 Essential Steps to Planning Your Disney World Vacation

6. Make a rough draft schedule

I like to make a schedule by thinking about which days of my trip I would like to spend at each park. If you know, for instance, you’ll be attending a separately ticketed event (like Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party) in the evening, I would choose a different park during that day. Take a peek at the extra magic hours for each park online if you’ll be staying on property. You can use those as a rough draft of your schedule.  Think also about if you’d like to stay at a single park all day or take a mid day break and end the day at a different park. Consider scheduling in some shopping time and a morning to sleep late and lounge by the pool.
