With hundreds of eateries dotted throughout Walt Disney World Resort – whether small or big-time restaurants – narrowing them down to any sort of “top 10” is impossible. Nevertheless, here are 10 exceptional dining experiences that are must-have’s when it comes to your Disney vacation!

1. Be Our Guest Restaurant – Fantasyland, Magic Kingdom Park

First and foremost is Beast’s enchanted castle, where you can enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner! Appropriately located in the heart of Magic Kingdom Park, this setting is the perfect dining experience for fans of the classic movie (and fans of delicious food, of course). The restaurant is divided into three beautifully-themed rooms, including the iconic West Wing (yes, you’re allowed in). Reservations can be made up to 180 days in advance, so be their guest and put their service to the test!

2. The Edison – The Landing, Disney Springs

There’s perhaps no other dining experience in Disney Springs – or Disney World for that matter – that’s as “happening” as The Edison. This swinging, industrial/gothic-hybrid-themed, 1920s-esque entertainment venue offers gorgeous food, delicious cocktails and electrifying music, as well as other great performances from contortionists to live cabaret. The venue features sophisticated themed lounges, offices and parlours – so get your best suit or dress on!

3. Festival of The Lion King Signature Dining Package (Tier I) – Discovery Island, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park

With the live-action adaptation of The Lion King now roaring into theaters, there’s perhaps no better dining experience at Disney World than the Festival of The Lion King Signature Dining Package. It includes three experiences – a delicious meal, VIP seating for the Festival of the Lion King show and a guided safari through Animal Kingdom Park’s African savanna. This package isn’t included in your Disney World admission ticket, but it’s worth the cost as it sure “ain’t no passing craze”!

4. Satu’li Canteen – Pandora – The World of Avatar, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park

Have you ever wanted to experience the delicacies the majestic world of Pandora has to offer? Well, now you can eat like a Na’vi at the Satu’li Canteen in the heart of the breath-taking, tropical, exoplanetary moon setting. Styled as a former RDA mess hall now filled with beautiful Na’vi cultural artefacts, this bountiful restaurant offers some truly delectable treats. Be sure to pre-order your food too with Mobile Orders.

5. Rivers of Light Dining Package – Multiple Locations, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park

With a name like this, no description is needed. But as such, you’ll get one anyway! This package doesn’t just tantalize your taste buds – it’s also a feast for the eyes too. Dine under the stars as you enjoy seats to the bewildering Rivers of Light show in Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park at a number of participating restaurants. Between delicious food and a dazzling night-time performance, very few other dining experiences will compare.

6. Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular Dessert Party – Disney’s Hollywood Studios

As far as themed dining experiences go, a Star Wars-themed one holds no real contest. Head on over to the Star Wars Launch Bay and take in all the props, games, movies and exhibits. Then sit down for a selection of out-of-this-world desserts and drinks (yes, there’s blue milk). And then behold Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular. While a somewhat expensive package, it’s fair to say the Force is strong with this dining experience.

7. The Crystal Palace – Main Street, Magic Kingdom Park

If you head down to Hundred-Acre Wood today, you’re in for a real surprise! And yes, there’s even a bear, and his name is Pooh. Put your paws on a yummy and scrummy buffet in the company of Pooh and his friends in this Victorian-inspired Main Street restaurant. This is also a pretty pricey extra, but with Character Greetings and photographs involved, this is one yummy pot of “hunny” you just have to dip your sticky paws into!

8. Coral Reef Restaurant – Future World, Epcot

Have you ever wanted to eat under the sea, where wetter is better? Okay, so it might not be so practical, but Future World’s Coral Reef Restaurant is the next best thing. Here you can dine amid incredible panoramic views of a living coral reef. There are even sharks, sea turtles and scuba divers in there! With an incredibly diverse ecosystem all around where endangered species are protected, this dining experience is one that’s both sensational and educational!

9. Cinderella’s Royal Table – Fantasyland, Magic Kingdom Park

Yes, Fantasyland is at it again with yet another remarkable dining experience, at none other than Cinderella Castle. Get your slippers underneath Cinderella’s Royal Table for a banquet, then allow your own storybook adventure to unfold with every dish, in a truly authentic setting where you’ll even be ingratiated with the star of the show herself. A Disney World dining experience doesn’t get more fairy tale than this, so get your glass slippers ready!

10. Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant – Commissary Lane, Disney’s Hollywood Studios

How about stepping straight into a ‘50s-style B-movie setting for your dining experience? Drive-in theaters, all-American cuisine, clips from classic sci-fi movies and monsters? Check! You’ll feel like you’ve left the resort behind and walked straight into the screen at an old theater – but don’t worry, the food is perfectly in-date. At Disney World, dining doesn’t get any more out-of-this-world or vintage than this.

Each and every single dining experience in Disney World offers great food and something in the way of a unique experience in their own right, but this top 10 definitely ranks among the best of the best!
