10 Major Changes Coming to Walt Disney World Resort Parks

10. Security Updates

Unfortunately, Walt Disney World is not immune to outside forces that may try to infiltrate the fun and magic that define the name of its creator, Walt Disney.  For that reason, Disney theme parks have added metal detectors to their entrances for enhanced security.  The latest big change to Walt Disney World security is that bag check and security screening for guests arriving via monorail or ferry will occur at the Ticket and Transportation Center instead of at Magic Kingdom.  Other changes will include security checks at the monorail resorts prior to guests boarding the monorail; for guests arriving to Magic Kingdom via bus, resort boats, or walking from the Contemporary Resort Hotel, new security points will be farther from the turnstiles.  The Disney Company makes every effort to not only keep their guests happy and safe, but they do their best to make even the security checks quick, smooth, and as pleasant as possible.  Basically, Disney wants to insure its guests that they will be safe and secure while enjoying all the fantasy and magic of Walt Disney World.

Cecilia

I am a working mother of four adult children, 2 granddogs, and one grandcat. I have been a Disney fanatic since 1959, when my parents took my sister and I on a journey across the country to Disneyland. Needless to say, we were thrilled, and this became our vacation destination for the next 10 years. Later, when Walt Disney World was opened, we travelled to Florida and discovered a whole new Disney experience, and WDW became our new vacation destination. Now, our extended family members are all Disney Fanatics and always ready to talk about anything Disney.
