10 Special Services You May Not Know About at Walt Disney Resort

3. Child Care and Children’s Activities

At select Disney Resort Hotels, children ages 3-12 can enjoy supervised arts and crafts, watch Disney movies, play with a variety of toys, play video games, and make new friends.  Dinner and snacks are also provided and a special memento of their adventure.  There are 4 Children Activity Centers located across Walt Disney Resort:  Simba’s Clubhouse/Animal Kingdom, Sandcastle Club/Disney’s Beach Club Resort, Lilo’s Playhouse/Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, and Camp Dolphin/Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel.  Reservations can be made in advance, and same day walk-ins are also welcome.  Hours, rates, and availability vary by location.  In-room babysitting is available through “Kid’s Nite Out”, an independent childcare provider.  Professional well-trained caregivers wearing purple polo shirts with the “Kid’s Nite Out” logo, nametag, and identification badge arrive at your Resort and will provide age-appropriate activities, toys, books, games, and arts and crafts for a special evening or afternoon with your children.  Fees are based on hours, (4-hour minimum), and number of children.  Advanced reservations are required.

Cecilia

I am a working mother of four adult children, 2 granddogs, and one grandcat. I have been a Disney fanatic since 1959, when my parents took my sister and I on a journey across the country to Disneyland. Needless to say, we were thrilled, and this became our vacation destination for the next 10 years. Later, when Walt Disney World was opened, we travelled to Florida and discovered a whole new Disney experience, and WDW became our new vacation destination. Now, our extended family members are all Disney Fanatics and always ready to talk about anything Disney.
