10 Things They Don’t Tell You About Disney Resort Hotels… But We Will

1.  My Disney Experience

As a guest signed in to your Disney account, you can use the “My Disney Experience” app to manage your reservations, park tickets, view and update your profile, see your Disney Photo Pass photos taken at Walt Disney World, update your Family and Friends list, plus much more.

2.  Complimentary MagicBands

Disney MagicBands are plastic wristbands using Radio Frequency technology which enables you, with a touch of your MagicBand to unlock your Disney Resort hotel room, enter theme parks and water parks with valid admission, charge food and merchandise purchases (when linked to a credit card), check in at FastPass+ attractions and entertainment lines, and connect PhotoPass images to your account.

3.  First Access to FastPass+ and Disney Dining Reservations

As a Disney Resort Hotel guest, you are able to book FastPass+ and dining reservations in advance.  Disney Resort Hotel guests can book reservations 60 days in advance of check-in for their length of stay.  This means Disney Resort Hotel guests get first choice of the most popular rides and attractions in the parks.  Dining reservations for guests staying on or off property can be reserved as early as 180 days before check-in, however, Disney Resort Hotel guests can book dining reservations for their length of stay, whereas, off-site guests can only book for the day.  This is a huge advantage because the most popular restaurants are often booked by the 180 day mark.

4.  Free Transportation to and from the Airport and Around the Parks

Disney Resort Hotel guests who are arriving by airplane can take advantage of Disney’s Magical Express motorcoach, which will transport them from the airport to their Disney Resort, including luggage transportation.  Simply drop off your luggage at your local airport, and it will be delivered to your Disney Resort Hotel room.  Guests can also take advantage of the free transportation arund the theme parks, water parks, and Disney Springs.  Catch a bus, ride a monorail or water taxi to your theme park, water park, or Disney Springs.  Bus service is available at all Disney Resort Hotels, while monorail and water taxi transportation is available at select Disney Resort Hotels.

Cecilia

I am a working mother of four adult children, 2 granddogs, and one grandcat. I have been a Disney fanatic since 1959, when my parents took my sister and I on a journey across the country to Disneyland. Needless to say, we were thrilled, and this became our vacation destination for the next 10 years. Later, when Walt Disney World was opened, we travelled to Florida and discovered a whole new Disney experience, and WDW became our new vacation destination. Now, our extended family members are all Disney Fanatics and always ready to talk about anything Disney.
