You don’t have to live in Louisiana to appreciate the fun, carefree atmosphere of the French Quarter and the bayou. The décor in the guest rooms at Port Orleans – Riverside was inspired by rural Louisiana and the bayou. The Riverside guest rooms are also housed in a gorgeous building that resembles the stately mansions you’d find in New Orleans in days gone by. At Port Orleans – French Quarter, Guests can take in all the beauty of the historic French Quarter district. From the cobblestone streets to the beautiful magnolia blossoms, you will feel the rich history and draw of the French Quarter—all without leaving Florida!

My first experience with the Magic was in 1988, when my parents surprised my brother and me with a visit to Walt Disney World after a short trip to see friends in Georgia. I still hum the tune played during the Main Street Electrical Parade and remember the feeling of excitement from my very first visit.
